Well I’ve bought two Hasegawa models. One Chevrolet Impala 66′ and other one Ford Thunderbird 66′, both from the Americana 1966 series. I started with the Chevy… First of all I’ve assembled the wheels and finished the inside of the model.
Then I got to the main thing, the body of this beauty car… And boy I had many troubles!!! All started well, I covered it with Humbroll blue twice and it looked perfect. But I wanted more, I tried to put lacquer on the body with airbrush but the ‘clear’ Humbroll was old and it made surface not smooth. So i tried to fix it with paint brush but it all got worse so I had to remove the color…
So I painted the body again, it was hard to remove the old color but with clear acetone at the end all got off. Again i painted it twice with the blue color and it looked like this…

Let me say acetone is the saver!!! Without it I don’t know what could be of my Chevy body. I had to do some glass paper work cause the aerosol got into the plastic and eat it so the least I could do is to make th surface smoother than it was after the spray…
So, now I’ve finished to repaint my Chevy, light blue I shell say…
Well I’ve finished this model like a month ago but didn’t had the time to update the site. Now I’ll show you what I’ve got at the end… I like but it took me to much time. Hasegawa has not much pieces and so not so much work, I decided to not upgrade more then the model is…
